Restmode vehicle in production

Ferrari in Italy, LamborghiniMaserati, which is called one of the top three manufacturers along with Maserati. As the brand has been around for a long time, it has produced many famous cars. Especially at this point, there are people saying that the quality and overall perfection are lacking, so the old models are getting quite a bit of attention.
Modena Automobili in Italy is a company that is working on rest modes based on old Maserati models. Recently, they have selected the Shamal produced in the 1990s as the subject of rest modes and are currently working on a project, and recent photos have been released.
Maserati Shamal
What model is it?
The Shamal model may be unfamiliar to us. That is understandable, as only 6 units were produced over a period of 369 years, making it quite rare. For reference, the Shamal is a derivative of the Biturbo released in 1985, and was released in 1990. The vehicle design was done by Marcello Gandini. Although it is a derivative of the Biturbo, it is said that all the exterior parts, except for the doors, were newly developed.
The interior was quite luxurious for its time. In particular, the seats were made of the highest quality leather from Connolly, which was supplied to Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Ferrari, and boasted a different level of luxury. The engine was a 3.2-liter V8 twin-turbo, generating 325 horsepower. The zero-to-5.3 acceleration time was 2 seconds, which was very fast for its time. As a side note, the second-generation Ghibli model was developed based on this Shamal.
Modena is in rest mode
Let's take a look at Shamal's appearance
Here's a look at the Shamal, currently in rest mode by Modena Automobili. First of all, if you look at the overall exterior, the design maintains that of the Shamal, but it boasts a sportier feel with the body kit. The front grille has also been enlarged, and the headlights and taillights use LEDs to add a modern feel.
The powertrain is equipped with the recently discontinued Ghibli's V6 3.0-liter gasoline turbo engine, generating 404 horsepower. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.
Prototype to be completed early next year
Attention Maserati Enthusiasts
The Shamal Restmode prototype is expected to be completed early next year. The price has not been announced yet, but considering the value of the vehicle, it is expected to be quite high. Considering that only 369 original Shamals were produced and that there are not many left because they are old, the Restmode model that restores the vehicle and adds some tuning is bound to boast a considerable price.
Because it has a straight-line design that is not often seen in Maseratis these days, and has quite a few angles, it is receiving a lot of attention from enthusiasts who prefer classic Maseratis.
